KIDS COUNT in Washington is a partnership between the Washington State Budget & Policy Center and the Children’s Alliance, supported by the Annie E. Casey Foundation. We gather and analyze new data on how children are doing in our state, and then turn that information into action. We:
- Make recommendations about how lawmakers can advance the well-being of Washington’s kids and families
- Conduct analyses on issues like racial equity, poverty, health care, and education
- Update state data for the KIDS COUNT Data Center, a comprehensive source of information used by policymakers
