Sumayyah directs All In For Washington, a multi-year campaign to clean up Washington state’s tax code so that all communities thrive.

Sumayyah has over a decade of experience working for progressive social change in Washington and California. Previously, she directed statewide juvenile and criminal justice campaigns at the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights in Oakland. There, she played a cornerstone role in the movement to dismantle California’s youth prison system. She has also worked for Color of Change, the nation’s largest online racial justice organization, and such public institutions as Alameda County and the Seattle Office for Civil Rights. Sumayyah is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley School of Law and The Ohio State University.
