Capital Gains Tax
In 2021, lawmakers smartly listened to community advocates and passed this tax on the sale of high-end stocks and bonds, to help ensure that the ultra-wealthy pay what they owe in taxes. Since it went into effect, it has been supporting kids, families, and communities throughout the state by providing critical funding to schools and early learning.
