During the COVID-19 pandemic, we saw in profound ways the critical role that public services play in our lives. This public health and economic crises magnified existing and deeply rooted inequities across the state.
The Budget and Policy Center believes that even in times of crisis, Washington leaders can implement strategic and impactful policies that support the children, families, individuals, and workers whose economic and social well-being were most affected by the consequences of COVID-19. We must remember the health of our economy and communities is only as strong as the support we extend to every Washingtonian.
